    Challenge

    The project was marked by several challenges. The biggest was that Zengun inherited the project from previous contractors, which meant they had to handle existing problems without full insight into previous work. Previous contractors had failed to deliver on time, creating delays and increased costs. Skanska, the original contractor, had their own working methods that did not match the client's expectations, leading to additional complications. Furthermore, documentation was inadequate, and material inventory was a major challenge as much of the existing material was unidentified.

    Our approach

    To handle the challenges, we took the initiative to locate and inventory all material remaining from previous contractors. We created a structured inventory list and distributed the material according to needs among different contractors, minimizing costs by avoiding unnecessary purchases of new material. We also implemented the logistics tool Projsite, though with the insight that it could not be used fully due to the prevailing stress. Instead, we focused on using Projsite for safety issues and handling larger works requiring crane and container.
