    Planned Booking Coverage

Planned Booking Coverage is a Projsite metric describing how much of a project’s delivery flow is booked in advance rather than announced when the transport arrives.

    What is Planned Booking Coverage?

In Projsite, Planned Booking Coverage is a coverage measure for delivery planning. It shows how much of the delivery flow is known before a transport is on its way, compared with the part that only becomes known on arrival or afterwards.

    What it measures

The metric measures planning discipline, not delivery quality. A delivery can be both booked and late; it can also be on time but entirely unplanned. Coverage only tells you whether the delivery existed in the plan.

    Why it matters

Unplanned deliveries are expensive on site. They compete for unloading space, lifting capacity and people without anyone having accounted for them, and they cannot be coordinated with other work. Low coverage means the logistics plan does not reflect reality, and then every other follow-up loses value.

    How to read the result

Read coverage as a trend within a project, not as an absolute number. A project in an early phase has different conditions from one in a fit-out phase with many subcontractors. Falling coverage while the number of parties grows is a sign that the routine needs repeating, not that the project is run worse.

    Practical example

A project experiences queues at the gate. Deliveries arrive on time, but coverage is low: a large share of transports are not booked. The fix therefore does not lie in the schedule but in getting more subcontractors to book, so transports can be spread across the day.

    What affects the metric

    • How early the logistics requirements are communicated to subcontractors and suppliers.
    • The number of parties on site and how often they change.
    • How easy booking is, and who is expected to do it.
    • The project phase: structural and fit-out phases have different delivery patterns.

    Follow-up in Projsite

In Projsite Intelligence, the metric is followed over time alongside the project’s other logistics data.
